Kleine Compagnie
Vancouver, BC
Kleine: Flemish adjective which means “small”
The Kleine Compagnie was founded by the artist Anaïs Pellin, on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples and the Musqueam, Squamish and Tseil-Waututh First Nations, in the city also known as Vancouver. This very young company develops an intimate and poetic theatre for young and old alike, inspired by object theatre, puppetry, clowning and visual arts. “Clémentine – Une Histoire (vraie)”, co-produced with Théâtre de la Pire Espèce and supported by Théâtre La Seizième, is its first production. The company develops other projects of object theatre and puppetry, like “Cinderella” and “The Little Mermaid”.
